Raptor2 Theme is a custom child theme of the standard WordPress theme “twentyeleven”. It is designed to be used with the custom Raptor2 Events plugin.

Front Page

The overall concept is to automatically intersperse events and informative posts in an obvious and predictable way, with most important and soonest items appearing higher up.

The Front Page shows the following Sections, in the order shown:

• Announcements. Displays posts with the Categories: “Front Page” and “Above The Fold”.
• Events Today
• Events Tomorrow
• News. Displays posts with the Categories: “Front Page” and “Below The Fold”.
• Events This Week. Displays events 2-7 days out.
• Recent Updates. Displays posts with the Category “Front Page” that are less than 7days old.
• Upcoming Events. Displays events 8 or more days out.
• Other News. Displays posts with the Category “Front Page” that are less than 30 days old.
• Older News Link. This brings up a page of posts with the Category “Front Page” that are greater than 30 days old. This is paginated, with ten posts per page . The “Archives” selection in the menu leads to the same page as this link.
